Do you take requests? If so, I hereby request that you write a review of The Descendants either here or on Facebook or someplace. I think I might want to see it!

  • So here’s my 2-sentence review of The Descendants:

Finally, a movie that doesn’t color Hawaii as a depthless tropical playground. Plenty of other films offer shrewd explorations of grief, betrayal, stewardship and family conflict, but this one uniquely reveals 21st century Hawaii as a richly-layered character unto itself.
